Wike gave the assurance on Tuesday after inspecting construction works on Arterial Road N1 from Wuye to Ring Road II, the Tungan Madaki-Zuba Road and the Zaudna-Kaba-Kagini corridor linking communities to the Kubwa Expressway.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the minister expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work and said contractors remained committed to meeting the December deadline.

Key Abuja road projects targeted for December

The projects inspected by Wike cover several important connections between established parts of Abuja and communities on the capital's outskirts.

The Arterial Road N1 project runs from Wuye to Ring Road II, while the Tungan Madaki-Zuba Road is expected to improve access between communities along the corridor and the wider Abuja road network.

The Zaudna-Kaba-Kagini route also connects communities towards the Kubwa Expressway.

Wike said the FCT Administration would continue to push contractors to meet the December delivery target, particularly as improved road access is expected to reduce transportation difficulties for residents.

The minister acknowledged that rainfall had slowed some earthworks but expressed confidence that construction activity would accelerate as the rainy season subsides. He said contractors could make greater progress from October as weather conditions improve.
