FHA Strengthens Transparency as MD Oyetunde Ojo Receives ACAN Award
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Oyetunde Ojo, has received an Award of Excellence from the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN) for supporting anti-corruption reforms and promoting transparency within the authority.
The award was presented in Abuja on Wednesday by ACAN Provost, Professor Sheriff Ibrahim, in recognition of what the academy described as Ojo's commitment to integrity, accountability and ethical governance at the FHA.

FHA Pushes Digitalisation to Curb Irregularities
According to ACAN, Ojo has strengthened collaboration between the FHA and anti-corruption institutions, including the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and ACAN.
Ibrahim said the authority's efforts to sanitise its operations and reduce litigation demonstrated the impact of the reforms under Ojo's leadership.
Responding to the award, Ojo said the recognition represented a collective achievement for FHA staff rather than a personal accolade.
He said the authority had recorded a reduction in incidents and allegations involving anti-corruption agencies, attributing the improvement to deliberate policy changes, systemic reforms and a stronger culture of accountability.
Digital Systems Target Double Allocation and Forgery
Ojo identified the digitalisation of FHA operations as one of the authority's key measures for reducing opportunities for corruption.
He said the adoption of digital processes had helped address issues including double allocation and document forgery, while the authority had also strengthened procurement transparency through stricter open-tendering procedures and digital documentation.
The FHA leadership also plans to expand automation and the use of e-platforms to reduce excessive human discretion and improve traceability across its operations.
