The Kebbi State Government has announced that construction of its 250-unit Kauran Gwandu Housing Estate in Birnin Kebbi has reached about 80% completion, as Governor Nasir Idris assured residents that the project would be delivered within its stipulated timeframe.

The governor made the disclosure during an inspection of the estate, where he expressed satisfaction with the quality and progress of construction. He also commended the contractor for working according to approved specifications.
The project is part of Kebbi State’s efforts to increase housing supply and improve access to decent accommodation for workers and other residents.
Kauran Gwandu Estate Nears Completion
The Kauran Gwandu Housing Estate comprises 250 housing units and is being developed in Birnin Kebbi.
Governor Idris described the level of construction as satisfactory, stating that the project had reached approximately 80% completion. He also said the quality of work observed at the site met the required specifications.
The governor warned contractors handling government projects that the state would not tolerate substandard construction or work that fails to meet approved specifications.
He also assured that the estate would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

Governor Idris said the state intends to provide additional housing opportunities for state and local government workers, teachers, federal employees and members of the media.
