New Airline Enugu Air Begins Flights Across Nigeria
A new airline called Enugu Air has been officially launched at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu. The airline is a partnership between the Enugu State Government and Air Peace, one of Nigeria's major airlines.
At the launch event, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, explained that the goal of Enugu Air is to improve travel within Nigeria and open up new connections to international destinations. He said the airline is part of the state’s efforts to boost the economy, attract investors, and promote tourism.
The governor also announced that Enugu Air will begin with local flights to key cities in Nigeria, but plans are already in place to expand to international routes. He said the airline is focused on providing reliable and affordable services while making Enugu a major travel hub.
The Chairman of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, shared his excitement about the partnership. He said the collaboration will support the growth of the aviation industry in Nigeria and create job opportunities.
Many people at the event praised the initiative, saying it shows the state government’s commitment to development and innovation.
