PropTech Startup ULÉ Homes Wins at Moonshot by TechCabal, Eyes $400K Investment
Lagos, Nigeria – ULÉ Homes, a Lagos-based proptech startup, has emerged as the winner of TechCabal’s Startup Battlefield competition at the Moonshot 2025 tech conference, clinching the $10,000 grand prize. The company beat out a competitive field of early-stage ventures from across Africa to claim the top spot.
As Battlefield champion, ULÉ Homes is also now eligible for up to $400,000 in potential follow-on investment through TechCabal’s partnership with global VC firm Antler, a boost that could significantly accelerate the startup’s growth.
Founded by Chisom Okorie, Omolade Akinwumi, and Abdulyekeen Abdulazeez, ULÉ Homes operates a one-stop digital platform that helps Nigerians find, finance, and manage home purchases. The startup’s model reduces the friction of buying a home, from high upfront costs to complex paperwork, by bundling property search, financing options, and legal processes into a single app.
In a country where the housing deficit exceeds 28 million units, ULÉ Homes’ mission is to “democratize homeownership” in Africa’s largest economy. Users can browse verified properties, secure mortgages, and handle ownership documentation through the platform, lowering traditional barriers to owning a home.
“Our goal isn’t just to sell houses, it’s to build a system where every Nigerian can own a home without the traditional barriers. This prize is a step toward making that vision a reality,” said Omolade Akinwumi, co-founder of ULÉ Homes.
The victory, announced live on the Moonshot conference stage in Lagos, validates the team’s vision and gives ULÉ Homes valuable visibility and credibility in the market. With fresh capital in hand and the potential Antler investment ahead, the company plans to refine its product and expand beyond Lagos into other major Nigerian cities.
ULÉ Homes’ win underscores the growing momentum in Nigeria’s proptech sector and the appetite for solutions addressing the country’s housing challenges. TechCabal’s Battlefield competition, a highlight of the Moonshot event, is designed to spotlight startups solving real problems with innovative technology. For ULÉ Homes, the judges’ nod and the Antler partnership signal a bright path forward, positioning the company to transform how Nigerians acquire and finance homes in the years to come.
